Dating System

I = Index     W = Written     H = Happened     U = Updated

At the top of each blog post, you’ll see at least two of the above letters followed by one or multiple years. This is what they mean:

“Index” is the year the post is categorized on the index page, which is the home page. It’s the year when the blog post is posted, except for most of the posts under 2020 which were written in that year but posted in 2021 because I was designing the blog. Index specification allows users to know where to locate the post on the index page.

“Written” is the year(s) it was written.

“Happened” is the year(s) what’s being talked about took place, if applicable. It typically only applies to posts in the spirit genre to specify the year(s) the spirit based content happened.

“Updated” is the year(s) a post has been updated. This can be for any post and for various reasons. For example, my understanding is growing of some of the theory posts so I try to update them when appropriate. If it’s only really minor changes made I won’t specify an update for it. Posts with a U at the top also have a changelog at the bottom of the page which describes the update(s).

Genre System

Spirit     Theory     General

Above are the three genres for blog posts. At least one of them is found at the top of each post next to the date(s).

Spirit represents that all or part of the post is based on personal spiritual revelation. The type of revelation can vary.

Theory contains concepts and ideas I’ve put together that can’t be proven. They sometimes utilize preexisting content which is referenced.

General is for posts that don’t fall into the other two genres. It’s sort of a miscellaneous genre. If I feel the content of the post is certain enough that it’s not a theory, I’ll label it with this genre. It can also be a post that predominantly looks at preexisting ideas.

Naturally, it’s possible for various genres to be present in a post but I aim to label a post with only its prominent genre. If it only contains a bit of another I’ll leave that one out. But sometimes it’s appropriate to label it with more than one. In that instance, they’re listed in order from most to least primary.

One of the reasons I created this system is to distinguish between what content is revelatory and what isn’t. With the theory posts, I don’t get confirmation if they’re right. An exception is the post on polarity as it was sort of confirmed, while not exactly. God had also said to me “I will help you” when I had set out to start the blog. Regardless, I can’t determine if any theories are right based on that. But it’s possible it can be having an influence. The reality is it’s a personal blog, which I’m authoring. When spirit is a subgenre, the revelatory part or parts of the post are easy to identify through specification of it coming from somewhere.

Navigation

Many of the posts in the blog interrelate so it’s common for other posts to be linked inside a blog post. It’s to help give better context to the post at hand. Sometimes you’ll see “(DIRECT)” next to the linked post. Clicking that will take you precisely to the referenced part of the post. At the bottom of posts, you’ll find related posts.

Ideas like the dimensions, four realms, and polarity tend to come up frequently. There are multiple posts on these topics which can be found on the index page, concentrated in the earliest years.

To go to the index (Home) page click the Eternal Zion banner at the top or “Home.” All blog posts are listed on that page, categorized by their indexed year in alphabetical order with “A” and “The” omitted. It has a search bar as well. For best use of the search bar, be sure to not have any spelling errors for it to work properly. It’s not as sophisticated as others. Most relevant search results should show up first. Also note that what you search also picks up posts with the search words in their related posts section, but these results will appear later in the search results. Another option to search the site is to type site:eternalzion.com in Google followed by what you want to search for.

Bible References

If you hover over cited bible verses with your cursor, a popup will show the full verse. If you click the verse or click “more” in the popup window, it will take you to the whole verse on biblegateway.com. In certain circumstances (certain headings, verses in boxes, whole chapter references), the hover over feature doesn’t work due to formatting coding conflicts. Regardless, those verses are still linked, so clicking them will take you to the whole verse at biblegateway.com. Abbreviations of biblical book titles can be seen here.

References to content in the bible are from the English Standard Version the vast majority of the time. This version is typically regarded as among the closest of word to word translations from the original authored language of the content. If the ESV version isn’t used, the alternate version will typically be specified. I use the site Quotes Cosmos sometimes to get the translations from the original language to aim for accuracy. I don’t speak or understand the original text’s languages.

Genre and Year Search

Years are Index years. Check a box or multiple boxes and press submit to have results appear for what’s selected. For example, checking the spirit and 2020 boxes will bring up all the posts indexed in 2020 within the spirit genre only. With those still selected, selecting additional years will bring up posts in those years in the spirit genre as well, etc. Results bring up the posts in their entirety. Bringing up titles or excerpts only is unavailable with this feature.
